Go Trail with the New Balance 411

Recently, Me and Ikhwan walk around The Gardens, Mid Valley, KL to check out on some sports equipments. One special thing about The Gardens is when you want to find sports apparel shops, they are all at Level 3, sit side by side. It's easy for you to walk around and compare the price, the availability, what it offers etc.

Ikhwan is in the midst of searching a new pair of road running shoe. His current shoe he's wearing for all his running event is aged more than 2 years. Me, on the other side, are searching for a trail running shoe, as I'm looking for a tougher shoe to do trail running.

We finally reached the New Balance outlet there, and I am thrilled on the prospect of having this shoe, New Balance 411, as mine.

Sum 41 & Avenged Sevenfold Live in Malaysia 2012

I never ever dream this. Two (2) of my favourite bands rock Malaysia in a month!!!!

SUM 41 concert held at KL Live, KL, which I have no company that nite, but stil I'm having a good time anyway. After the opening act by Bunkface & One Buck Short, SUM 41 came out more than 1 hour late. Dunno y, but I have to wait there alone. Try my luck if I could stumbled into any of my friends, but no outcome. 

One good thing is they played a lot of their old songs. However, Reason To Believe, Sick Of Everyone etc has also being played that nite by them, which are from their latest album Screaming Bloody Murder. For sure, I always love n I joined the MOSH, besides I also took the chance to be at the front line of the fans. Deryck and Co on that nite being so friendly with the fans and I love their style.

Really happy that they came here. Thanks and I really enjoyed.

Not like SUM 41, Avenged Sevenfold which having a stronger fanbase (based on the number of fans on the nite), held their concert at Surf Beach, Sunway Lagoon. This time I went there with Ezani & Housemates + Sufian. 

I bought an A7X's shirt that nite for RM35 with the tour list at the back. M Shadows performed not at his best in my opinion, maybe saving some energy for the upcoming tour concerts. 

However, the MOSH PIT is interesting. Lots of fans involved. My shoe's dirty then, cuz of dat. M Shadows in his final song, even request the fans to make a big, big circle. Hahaha. I tot Mike Portnoy might hate this if he came. 

Hah, new drummer! It's Mr. Arin, hit the drum that nite. We all still can't forget the loss of The Rev. He's awesome. But this concert has made a special tribute to him, especially when 'So Far Away' being played. 

These two bands has influenced me much all this while. I've been listening to almost all of their songs. They have really rocked me this month. I love them. Hope they come here again next time. Hehehehe ;)

I am engaged!

Akhirnya, pada umur 25 tahun 4 bulan 27 hari, aku (Fadhlul Ridhuan) sah menjadi tunang (..je baru) kepada Nik Evira (perMYsuri hatiku). Pertunangan yang berlansung pada 17 Mar 2012, dijalankan dlm suasana yg sungguh ringkas (simple) tp tetap meriah. 

Dengan kehadiran famili aku dr penang, plus adik2 ayah aku (uncles & aunties aku) yg dok dekat2 Shah Alam ni, ditambah dgn famili Nik Evira dr Pantai Timur, majlis yg dibuat di Sek 8 Shah Alam ni sgt best n teratur.

Hantaran tunang ktorg is 5 dulang berbalas 7 dulang. 5 dulang dr pihak aku spt cincin emas + sireh junjung, kain, sejadah, makanan. Manakala hantaran balas dr pihak perempuan adalah spt kain, perfume set, sejadah + Qur'an dan makanan. 

Tema pakaian ktorg adalah biru muda. Cadangan asal warna dtg dr aku sendiri, dan dipersetujui oleh mak aku, seterusnya pihak perempuan. Bagi aku majlis pertunangan mesti la bertemakan warna muda (light), as it works as 'buffer' to wedding event later. Bagi aku x elok la plak kalo kaler tema baju tunang lebih terang dari kaler baju kawin nnt. Satu lg, bg aku, baju akad nikah mesti putih atau krim. Then bile bersanding plak nnt kaler terang. Aku pelik tgk trend skg suka sgt bile bersanding pkai baju putih atau krim. Mcm xde kaler laen yg cantik nak pakai. Nak tiru artis la tu. Ko igt artis tu terer sgt ke? Haha.. Tp pegi mampos la, pedulik ape aku org len punye kenduri. Hua hua. 

Neway, aku sgt heppy heppy heppy skg bergelar tunang org. Yang aku kena faham skg is tanggungjawab dah berbeza. Walaupun xduduk sebumbung lg, tp commitment tetap ade. Aku xleh la nak wat hal sendiri je everytime kan. Tunang kena letak dlm setiap benda aku nak wat jugak.

Brooks HM 2012: Bukit Jalil Conquered!

Brooks Half Marathon 2012 has been held at Bukit Jalil National Stadium this morning. This time I only take 10km category, planned to make my first half marathon (21km) with StanChart KL Marathon this coming June.

For this running event, we get a Brooks exclusive singlet, race bib, uniquely-shaped timing chip (at least unique for me), and an RM120 Brooks voucher. This voucher is only valid for purchase of more than RM300 in 1 item. Whoa!!! Hahaha...

Half marathoner (21km) has been flagged up at 5.45am, 10km at 6.15am, and 5 km at 6.30am. Therefore, I decide to come very early to the stadium. I go take my younger brother at Hentian Bas Jalan Duta who has just arrived from Penang for the sake of this run. Credit to him. After that, we decide to go straight away to the stadium. At that time, the clock showed 2.03am. No one's there yet, except a few numbers of event volunteers. I just continue sleeping after that.

My bro didn't sleep yet. He went to search for power supply to charge his phone. Around 3am, I have been woken up by the sound of cars came in. I am so lazy to look but to ask my bro. He said the 'volunteers'.

Only at 4am, my bro said there's a lot of participants coming in the stadium car park. My bro just can't sleep actually. After 4pm, the organizer started to charge RM2 for parking. Lucky that we came early, we can save RM2 for toll. Haha.

Only at 4.30am, I decide to wake up and change. Using towel, we juz change beside our car. Haha. Unfortunately for the sponsor, we decide not to wear the singlet given. I doesn't look fit to our 'body'. Haha. Me and my bro finally just wear Malaysia football jersey. He's wearing an away kit, and I'm a home kit. Haha.



The race route is crazy. A lot of long distance slopes. Most of my friends having personal worst, instead of personal best. Maybe lack of training or sumthing.

I am having a damn suffering pain on my chest, causing a short breathing. I admit that I am nearly cry, cause I know if not because of that pain, I am not that tiring. I am nearly made decision to call over medic, to take me away, but I keep my mental strong. I know my body can do well and better than my mind.

I am so happy and glad that finally I finished it. I know I am not happy with the time but to try next time again. After this, I won't have 10km event no more at least until July.
